I'm trying to use some of the FX from my G-Major on some tracks I've recorded, but I can't figure out how to get it to work? I'm using Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro, M-Audio 2496 Audiophile, and a Wharfdale R-200 mixer.

I send the Mixer Main outs to the soundcard. The soundcards outputs to the mixers "2 track" inputs, and the Ctrl room outs of the mixer to the monitors.

I sent the mixers EFX send to the G-Major input. THe G-Major output to the EFX return of the mixer.

Porblem is I don't get any signal to the G-Major. I've turned the EFX output knobs all the way up and still nothing. I'm not sure how else to hook this up.

Then the second part of the problem is, how do I apply the FX to the track and re-record it with the FX added to it?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know what a G-major is. but you need to output from the soundcard back to one of the mixer channels, instead of the 2 track in. Then insert the g-major effect on that channel, and re-record the channel back thru the audiophile

The 2 track input on a mixer is not routed to any effects sends. Normally it won't even come out of the main outs (only the monitors)
Bring the output of the sound card into channels and use the aux (effects)sends on the channels to get to the g-major.
