Using our existing mics

I am about to purchase a vs880ex. We have had PA equipment for quite a few years and have eight Peavey CD20 mics. How do these record with the vs880ex? Will they give a decent recording? Trying to save dollars on new mics. Thanks.

They will work fine. You probably won't notice the limits of their frequency response, if you have been using them live.

HOWEVER: as soon as you can afford to rent, or buy a Large diaphram condenser microphone you should! The Peaveys will be ok for drums and micing amps, but for your vocals and accoustic guitars,
You gotta hear one to believe it!

You will be getting the most out of digital recording's low noise and great frequency
response with a Condenser mike.
