I have a Tascam 428 with earphone outputs. I want to add another set of earphones for listing. What is the best way to split the signal so I can use a second set of earphones?

if you're just going to use two pairs, simply buy a headphone splitter from Radio Shack for $5 bucks.

if you want 4-5 headphones jacks(doesn't sound like you do), then buy a standalone headphone amp, which will be about $100.

Thanks for the info

I checked out the headphone amp at Musiciansfriend. It allowed 4 headphones which I don't need, but read the feedback-reviews. They all seemed to down play the quality and performance of the product. Think I will do as mrbowes suggested and get a $5 dollar splitter from Radio Shack. Only problem might me the need for individual volume but not a worry for now. Will be doing some dual listing as we record 2 tracks. People can be picky, so if individual volume request come up I will need a amp of some kind. The Behringer Powerplay was suggested, but my dealings with that company have been very neg. There stuff is not up to professional quality by far. My opinion.

Thanks for the info folks
