Using M-Audio Delta 44 With CEP

Hey, i was wondering, i am planning on buying a M-Audio Delta 44 Soundcard. I currently am running 3 soundcards on my computer to record in 16bit. What i was planning to do is get the new delta 44 and i was going to run a mic cable from the snare mic straigh to the delta 44 box, also the same with the bass drum and 2 toms. then using CEP record each track in CEP multitrack mode. Is that possible. Thanks

The 44 doesn't have a box with mic pre-amps. Some dealers are selling the 44 bundled with the Omni Studio, which does have mic preamps - is this what you've seen? I think (not entirely positive) that the Omni only has 2 mic pre-amps.

The Delta 44 breakout box has four ins and four outs and no pre amps. The Omni has two ins with pre amps, two ins with no pre amps. The Delta 66 card also comes with spdif. If you're going to be using more than two mics you're going to need two more pre amps. You might want to look into a more versatile card and interface.
