using external effects with mixer

i have a MACKIE DF-6 mixer and i do not like the reverb effects that are on it. is it possible to use a reverb pedal with this mixer? if so, how?

The mixer has what it calls sends and returns. You would connect send 1 (for example) from the mixer to your reverb box, and then you would connect the outputs of the reverb box to the stereo returns on the mixer. Then you control how much is send to the reverb using the aux send on each channel of the mixer, and how much is mixed back in using the volume control on the returns.
