Has anyone here used Cubase as a live mixer instead of using an actual console? I have 3 marimbas, 3 vibes that need to be mic'ed and then I also have two synthesizers and a bass that need to run through Cubase with the synths using some vst sounds that I have on my computer. I also have one of the synths that has an older Proteus. Any one familiar with this usage of Cubase? I am planning on using two Firepods connected to my computer and direct it to Cubase that way.

Thanks for your help

Any way you look at it you wilkl have a certain amount of latency unless you use some sort of 0 latency system through your soundcard. However, if you do that, you will lose the ability to use plugins and EQ's etc... and only have volume control.

Interesting. What, i n your opinion, is the best way to go a round it? I would like to Mic those mallet instruments but at the same time I want to use my computer for synth sounds as well as for a mallet kat. It would be nice to use Cubase or some other software on my computer for live mixing. Then I could save my presets. Any other way you know would be awesome to learn about.

Thanks
