Using Casio keyboard w/ USB port as MIDI controller?

Hello all, I need some help with this.. I really can't get a full-blown MIDI controller yet (money!!), so I was wondering.. My friend can let me use his Casio keyboard, and it has a USB port... he's saying I can use it for MIDI.. can I?

What is the exact model number of the Casio? "Most" good quality keyboards can be used as a midi controller, but we can't tell you for sure until we know the model. Many Casios are not much more than "toys" and cannot be used as a midi controller. Some Casios can work as a midi controller.
