using a 4-track to make mix tapes

i have been dj-ing for 6 months and haven't yet made a mix tape that didn't have some mistakes(i.e.,both records not on same beat,accidentally turning off the turntable, etc.). i was considering buying one of tascam's 4-tracks but am not sure what 4-track recorders are capable of. can someone give me some info on this topic. thanx.

Go digital man. Find someone who knows exactly what you want to do and then, pick up on a digital box.
