Useing outboard gear with Digi 002?

Hey...here's the situation...I have a Digi 002...and a Lexicon LXP-1. I am having a hard time figureing out how to use the outboard gear just as a send effect or something like that. I can get it so that I can record the reverb by patching it through an unused channel...patch out of the acoustic guitar for example, into lexicon, out of lexicon into another trade and record it...but is there a more efficient way so I don't have to be recording every time I want to hear the reverb?

record the guitar...set up a send on the track to go out an output (ex. Out 1)
patch into the Lexicon and mono (or stereo) back into available inputs. Create an Aux track and set the corresponding input (turn up the aux track too).


you can also just play the guitar into PT with the aux track already setup too...this way you'll hear the reverb as you record.
