Hi All

Is there anybody out there who knows whether it's possible to record from multiple sound cards in Adobe Audition 2.0.

My friend and I have each a small USB sound card with input to mic & guitar. We would like to connect both cards & record simultaneously if possible.

We have tried recording in Multitrack where I thought we could choose the input card for each track. However, when I go into Audio Setup it seems to give only the option of selecting 1 sound card - a global choice.

Is there anybody who has solved this problem ?

Thanks in advance - Paul

I ran two Terratec sound cards with 2.0. I have regressed back to using 1.5 (and a single sound card) so it's not real fresh in my mind what I did.

Both cards and their inputs showed up in Audio Hardware Setup; it worked better than when I tried using the two cards with 1.5 because, no matter what I did in 1.5, I had to go to Options/Device Order and set the I/O for both cards each time I started a new session.

Try right clicking on the speaker icon in the tool tray and make sure both input devices are enabled.

Later today I'll fire up 2.0 and see if I can remember the exact setup steps, but I'm on my way out the door for now.

It can be done.

I finally got 2.0 opened up (it's on a different computer) and all the inputs showed up in Edit/Audio Hardware Setup. You might try reinserting the USB connectors....

Maybe someone else has an idea.

it's completely possible....regardless of which CEP/Adobe platform you use.
Please do tell us the model/type of UscratchyB sound cards you have.
as a side note, I ran 4 crummy SB lives for 8 channels of I/O for many years on CEP 2/2.1!!!!! (they sounded great, stayed sync'd most of the time, but just not as good as using some proper stuff!)
Maybe a nice cheap s/hand Delta 1010 will get you in the right direction.....anyways...
