Hi,
I use a Alesis io/2 external soundcard (usb) e.g. to import vynil to my computer.
My problem: yesterday evening I made perfect recordings, shut down my laptotp, including the soundcard. This morning I started up my DAW (Reaper), tried to connect my soundcard, but had to plug/unplug some 10-12 times,to get a connection. The recording I made afterwards was awfull, because of loud crackling.
Questions:
1. Anybody has the same experiences:
a. plug/unplug the usb soundcard several times before it connects?
b. crackling recordings?
2. Could this have to do with an unstablepower supply by means of the usb connection?
3. Any suggestions/ideas/tips?
