USB Recording help.

If I were to buy this:

and plugged it into my computer via usb connector, and attempted to record with Adobe Audition. Would I be able to simultaneously record seperate tracks? (each input would be it's own track?) or would everything be smushed into one track?

If not, what would I need to record seperate tracks simultaneously?

Now i may be wrong, i don't own one of these myself, but I'd assume that only 2 channels at a time would be sent to the computer. That way you can record the left and right channel at the same time, but the USB plug is pretty simple device and i doubt it could handle 8 seperate channels of info at the same time.

And indeed, if you tried to do 8 channels by USB, you'd be in a world of hurt. The CPU horsepower needed to maintain a USB audio interface at 8 channels each way without dropouts would likely be significant. USB wasn't designed for high speed isoch.
