USB on Berhinger X1832

Can someone please tell what is the use of the usb on this mixer X1832
I connected it to Audion and it is shown there but playing through the mixer and trying to record back on Audition nothing happens.
Or does it work the other way out?
 
You have to make sure you select the USB mixer as the sound source when recording.
