I've been reading some opinions on here, but my question is:
I want to buy a USB Mixer so that i can plug mics, instruments, etc. straight into the mixer and then route to my computer to bypass my crappy soundcard (using a Dell Laptop). If i buy a USB mixer with say 4 XLR inputs, does this mean that i can record 4 different tracks into my computer and have the software recognize each track separately at the same time? I'm using Adobe Audition, or does this mean that i can only get 1 track at a time into the computer?
I was originally looking at one of the Behringer Xenyx series, but now have changed my thoughts to the Alesis MultiMix 12USB Mixer

or the Yamaha MW10 10-Channel USB Mixer

Can someone help out here?....
Thanks!
Brian
