USB Mic Preamp comparison

Hi everyone.

I am getting ready to purchase a USB Mic Preamp. I have been looking for a smaller, portable unit (not requiring 120V). I am using it mainly for doing car audio and home audio pink noise measurements. I may use it for other things as well. There are many units I have been looking at and I was hoping to get some feedback on the units. Not so much on features and specs because I have read all the technical specs on each unit, but rather real world experience on how good or bad the units are. In addition to hearing feedback on these units, I was also wondering how much these units would affect the frequency curve. Below are the preamps I have been looking, a link to their website, and the lowest price I have found them at on the net.

I sent my measurement mic in for calibration. Is it necessary to calibrate the USB Preamps or are they flat enough to not care?

Thanks in advance and I look forward to everyone's input.

Thanks,

Matt

So Matt, what were the results for you? I see you recieved no feedback here. Thx for the links. Add the Blue Icicle and iRig to the list if anyone else is listening…
I'm sure apps like Auria and Cubasis will make this a "hot topic".
I personally prefer the PreSonus products.

Thx -td
