USB Interface

Hey guys I'm new at this & need some suggestions. My computer is running Windows7 64 bit & am looking for a USB interface with good preamps for about $350 or so. Probably be using Sonar for a DAW. Was looking at the M-Audio Fast Track Ultra but not sure about it.

The higher end tone ports have mic pre amps and such. I have a lower end one and it's served me beautifully for guitar and bass recordings.

Rugged construction on the tone ports too. Mine is probably the lowest end model and it has all metal casing.

(edit) forgot to mention that it works fine with Windows7.

How many tracks do you want to record at a time?

I took a look at the m-audio site and the specs look good. I looks like a good solid versatile piece that does about the same as similar units. And it's compatible with Sonar and has downloadable drivers for W7.

I use a Lexicon U42S and it's pretty good but has some minor issues. Occasional dropouts and some kind of hesitation when you hit play/record. (might be Sonar though but I've learned to adapt to it).
