USB interface with XLR out

Hey everyone.

I use my laptop for live music. Right now, I'm running the onboard headphone out to a DI, but that gives more interference than I'm really happy with.

What I'd really like is a small, cheap USB interface with XLR outputs so I can just swap that into my pedal board and not have to drastically reconfigure what I have now.

Any recommendations?

No there aren't any.

But you can get a TRS-to-XLR cable to fix the problem.
Really? That's a shame. My googling revealed at least one other person asking the same question, so you'd think someone would capitalize on that market. (You know... 2 guys. Important market there...)

Personally, I use these and they work! Both have a 1/4" TRS male connector on one end. Keep in mind, these are for balanced connections.

With XLR Male End

With XLR Female End
Would there be any advantage of going with a converter over running the 1/4" into a DI? (other than space taken up, obviously.)

EDIT
i have no idea what im talking about.
That's OK. It happens to the best of us. :D

Remember that an xlr and trs jacks provides the same things:
1) a positive wire
2) a negative wire
3) a ground shield

There's no advantage to using an xlr over a trs jack
and a trs takes up a lot less space (and is probably cheaper)

Just use an adapter cable and worry about more important stuff....

From a technical specifications perspective that's true. I am using this for live sound with a variety of disparate sound systems. XLR is a little more universal. Every system has somewhere I can plug in a mic cable; not everyone has somewhere to stick a 1/4".

Still not understanding the concept of adapter cables, are we????

Shape of plug makes NO difference. It's 3 wires and a metal shell....
