where can i get a USB cable for my MR-8 - And what is some inexpensive software to edit tracks on my pc ? thx

Just about any computer store will have these. So does Walmart and Radio Shack.

There are lots of mixing software alternatives. I use PG PowerTracks Pro Audio which costs about $50. There are free packages from some vendors with limited track support.

usb

make shure its usb 2( is that right , i think). and if you use window 98 or 98se you will need a card reader instead.

many, many people here use n-track its one of the best around i think. you will notice at the home recording home page here it is listed directly beneith the fostex page..
but go to ntrack.com

45.00 but the demo is free with a few limitations, give it a try and you will really see adifference in your recordings...

and no im not affiliated with this compay in any way exept a very satisfied user, a guy from italy named flavio is the designer and many say it comparable to programs that cost hundreds of dollars

You'll even be able to upgrade to N-track 4.0 when it comes out for free...I think...

I use cakewalk home studio and cakewalk professional. they work pretty well with the MR-8, but you have to record hot. I picked both of these programs up on EBay for a song so you may want to try there for software. I got my cardreader which came with the cable for 19.00 at Office Max. Have fun

I've tried many, but in my opinion, n-track is best for the money. I think the link that was given may get you there but I got mine at www.fasoft.com

n track

best in my book to, and dont forget the support on the forum,,,,, best around

pretty sure

it is a USB 1 cord though. atleast the original usb cord works
