Anyone here pick one of these up yet?
Does it record/playback without any hitches?

I've preordered M-Audio's new Firewire unit...but I'm bored of waiting for it to be released. And saving three hundred bucks would be a bonus too.

If its anything like the Audiophile 2496 PCI card, it should be rock solid with very low latency.

I have the PCI Audiophile 2496 right now in my desktop system. Really nice.

I bought the Emagic 2|6 USB soundcard for my laptop. It sucked bad...lot's of glitches during recording and during playback. So I sold it.

I preordered the USB Audiophile before it was released. I then canceled the order for the USB Audiophile when M-Audio came out with info on their new Firewire device a few days later. I have the Firewire unit preordered instead...but I'm really bored waiting around for a usable laptop solution :(

I have the audiophile pci card on windows xp.... with the driver that it non beta... the pc didn't seem to like the beta pro audio driver =(

I earlier tried the mia echo when I had win98 and those drivers were horid. It is funny how a stupid driver controls how this piece of hardware functions, I guess it is better this way.

Question is, I am sorta looking to maybe upgrade to a better sound card... well at least one with 1/4 inch... more like XLR is what I want. I don't really need more the 2 inputs, I don't record a rock band, I write techno. Can you recomend a card, maybe I should get the delta 66 right?
