Hi,

I usually write in other sections of this site and don't know much about the US-428. However a friend of mine recently moved house and lost his power supply, when he tried to order another one Tascam and their wholesalers said it was not available. It seems it's too hard for them to supply, a common problem here in Australia the land of no support. The mains volts here are 240 AC at 50 Hz.

Can any one tell me what volts the 428 operates on and what the current rating it needs to be? I think it's 7.5 volts AC but I don't know what amps it needs.

If it's in fact a DC output I will also need to know what polarity the pins are on the power plug, inside + or outside +

Cheers

Alan.

I don't own the US-428, but I found these bits of information in a manual I downloaded sometime ago

Version Voltage Hz Power Consumption
DM 100 50/60 7.5 (50Hz)
T/C 120 60 7.5 (60Hz)
EUR 230 50 7.5 (50Hz)
UK 240 50 7.5 (50Hz)
AUS 240 50 7.5 (50Hz)

AC Adaptor PS-P428 (7.5 VAC, 1000 mA)

So it looks like it is AC so polarity won't matter

Thanks for that, now the search for a 240VAC to 7.5VAC 1000mA power supply begins.

Alan
