Hey guys,

I have had my US-428 since October I guess, and so far I have been pleased with its ease and functionality. I use it with Sonar 2.2XL. And I generally use an M-Audio DMP3 as my mic preamp. So far so good.

It occured to me today, though, that I have never ONCE used the eq knobs on the US-428. Am I missing something here? I guess I'm asking do you guys who use either the US-428 or the US-122 use the eq functions when you are tracking or playig back, or do you use eq in software (like the Timeworks in Sonar).

So, I would like to hear how people are using the eq on the US-428.

Take it easy,

The 428 and 422 are just controlers, the EQ knobs on those devices only control the EQ functions in your recording software, and then only if your software supports external control of the EQ.

Thanks! I did not think I was missing much, and I do not think the US-428 controls the Sonar 2.2 eq functions if I am remembering what I read when I set it up. I think it just controls basic commands start, stop, play, volume faders, etc.
