I just thought I'd post a thread that actually says that someone is happy and having no problems with their us - 122.

It took a while but I think I finally have most things sorted out.

The only things I havent worked out are...

1. The cubase le vst instruments.
2. What the hell the "insert" inputs are for.
3. Gigastudio.

Other than that I'm happy and recording a few rough tracks atm :)

Cheers!

insert inputs are for effects loops. you get a stereo jack that goes to two separate mono jacks. plug the stereo end into the inserts on the 122 and the other two mono jacks into the in and out of your fx unit.

with the insert plugs on the 122, one sleeve is send and one sleeve is return (on a stereo jack you have 3 sleeves: hot, cold and ground. these act as send, return, and ground)

cant remember which is send and which is return but look in the manual and it tells you

I just got a US-122 yesterday and its interesting. Does the vocals always record on either the left or right channel?? I haven't figured out the VST plug ins. My main software is Adobe Audition.

The vocals record only on the side you have the mic connected to, and in Adobe, all you have to do to fix that is right click on the track you are using to record into and then a window will pop up and then you will see a bunch of options to change settings and stuff.. then you should see something that says "Stereo" and right beside it in a tab to get you to pick from more options.. click on that, and depending on where you got the mic plugged into change the setting to "right" or "left"

thank you....how many times i have noticed it and just didnt' do it lol. Thanks for gettin me on the right track
