Just bought a US 122 and plugged it into my new HP Pent. IV, 512 Ram, computer. Tried to record something into the software that came with it, but to no avail. I think there must be some setting on my computer I need to change to make this thing tick. I also understand that I might need to download the latest driver for XP. Do I need this driver to get any sound out of my computer? I appreciate any input you have. Oh yes, one more thing, If I leave the USB plugged in to the 122, and my computer goes into screen saver mode, the computer will lock up and I have to turn the computer off and restart.

Hey, Napper.

First, it's not polite to post the same question in several forums. It's not as rude as farting in a nice restaurant, but it is unnecessary.

You need to make sure all your software is completely up to date, latest drivers and all that. I didn't have any trouble with mine (Win98se), but I've heard that the USB is a little trickier in XP.

There are people here who have gotten their US122s up and running under XP.

Thank you for letting me know about the forum thing, had no idea. Thank you for your insight on the 122, I'll keep trying. I've only had this interface since Friday.
