Problems occur when I tried loading the enclosed cusasis software. It fails some test and wants to change some configuration to 16 bit or something. I dont know also I am getting high pitch buzz I am looking to enable DMA but cannot find it in that drives properties window.

Here are some thoughts:

1) If you have Sonar Producer, you don't need Cubasis. Cubasis is an evil piece of software, anyway (Cubase SE, on the other hand, is very decent). Uninstall any and all versions of Cubasis from your system. Take the disk and throw it in the garbage. Seriously, it's terrible. It will only cause you grief. (It is also the reason you are having hardware problems -- the Cubasis software only supports 16-bit recording, which is why it keeps trying to reset your driver.)

2) Go to the Tascam site and make sure you have the latest ASIO drivers for your operating system.

3) Make sure the US-122 is selected as your input/output device in Sonar and that you have the correct ASIO 24-bit driver.

If that doesn't help, return with further questions.
