Hey guys. Bought my us 122 a while back, bundled with Cubasis....Just got round to getting a midi controller but It wont sync up right with the audio click and won't play plug-ins in real time. Its obsolete, I know. So I was advised to upgrade to Cubase SE. Only thing is I'm not sure if it'll work out with my Celeron processor, 2.8Ghz. Anybody currently using this set-up? Or if the Celeron will cause conflict, what program should i go with? Cheers guys.

Cubase SE will certainly work fine with your computer,I'm using Cubase SL3 with a 2.4 gig Celeron wiyh no problems, or you can order a free copy of the now bundled Cubase LE from the Tascam website, just browse for your US122 and click on downloads, there's a link near the bottom, hope this helps, Rob.

Thanks

Hey man i really appreciate that, you've been very helpful. If its not too much hassle, could you maybe outline the differences between LE and SE? I know i'm asking pretty basic questions, but any advice would be much appreciated. I mean, with my archaic Cubasis, the midi and audio metronomes didn't sync; I assume yours is working fine? Again, thanks a million.

Cubase LE is based on the orignal incarnation of SX ie. version 1, whereas SE3 is a cut down version of SX 3, it has a lot more functions but it will cost you, Cubase LE is a very capable sequencer and I use it on my laptop as it doesn't need a dongle and for modest projects it does all I need. I should get the free Cubase LE and see how you get on, it's much better than Cubasis which I have used in the past, you can upgrade to SE for about half price when you send in your copy of LE , details on the Steinberg website.Take care , Rob.

TASCAM was allowing owner of US122s to order a free copy of LE from TASCAM's website.

Cheers guys you've been great

Thanks for the help; I think I'll buy SE3...one more thing...does that come with a steinberg key?
