I may be a complete newbie, but my Delta is giving any output. Suddenly just nothing was coming out my speakers. As I've been advised in here before I went down the chain...

SPEAKERS Working
AMPLIFIER Working
DELTA 44 INPUT Working
DELTA 44 OUTPUT Not Working

When I click on internet pages it crackles like it's trying to play the click sound but no proper sound comes out. Any ideas?

Please tell me the output isn't blown...I only just bought the card!

Also please note that I keep getting this error message to:-

"CTSysVol.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I think this was the software for the old soundcard. Is there some sort of conflict?

Also, go to Start>Run and type msconfig and hit "OK" click on the startup tab and scroll through the list and if you see anything regarding a creative soundcard or that same exe file, uncheck it and hit apply, or ok or whatever it says. This will disable the program from starting when you bootup your PC. Again, this is assuming that the M-Audio is your only soundcard.

Still not working. Where do I go from there? Anyone have any other ideas what the problem might be?

Have you tried to get playback from the Delta via varous programs? e.g., your recording app, windows media player, etc.

Does it not work in all applicatons, or just one?

If all apps, you might try uninstalling the card and drivers and reinstalling. the Delta installer program usually has an uninstall app to uninstall the drivers.

Have done. Still no sound. Don't think that program was the problem.

I have tried uninstalling but everytime I do so the system suffers a critical error and reboots straight away. Any ideas?

How are you uninstalling? Are you using the Delta uninstall program? Or are you just using Control Panel? If you use Control Panel and just uninstall the device, it won't remove the drivers from your system.

Use the Delta uninstaller if you can.

Ok thanks.

I messed around all night and think I've kind fixed it best I can. i think 90% of the problem is a faulty lead from the breakout box to the amp.
