how much is the upgrade from cakewalk 8 to sonar xl? i tried callin cakewalk, but couldn't contact anyone. if anyone has the number to call for upgrade info, i would appreciate it.

They have so far only announced pricing (and set up to take pre-orders) for existing SONAR 1.x owners only.
We'll probably find out sometime in April. Based on history I expect it'll be something like $99 -- $129, but don't quote me.

I'm currently using PA 9 and when I called to order Sonar 2, my price was $99.
The only way you can (pre)order if you're not a current Sonar user, is by phone and the CDROM will be shipped to you as soon as it ships.

BTW, As a HS2002 user, I emailed c/w and had a reply this week that says that they are currently in transition to Sonar 2.0. As of now you can only place an order over the phone but they
will be appearing on the web site soon. The upgrade will be $149 to Sonar 2.0 and $299 to Sonar 2.0 XL. I guess the upgrade from c/w express 8.0 will be about $25 more on top.
Still a lot cheaper than buying from scratch, its a good upgrade philosophy imho.
In the UK we have to pay another 15% import duty plus $25 shipping charge.
