FYI, all the Sonar 2 upgrades (from Cakewalk, Sonar 1.0 etc.) will be going up in price $50 on June 15. If you want to upgrade, better to do it soon. I got this info from an email newletter from Cakewalk, I don't know if it is on their website.

My copy arrived last night. :)

Haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Probably this weekend.

what do you think? Is it worth it?

dachay,

Be sure and let us know what you think of 2.0. I've been faithfully downloading the updates and been liking Sonar quite a bit. I'll probably end up getting the upgrade because I just LOVE to spend money...but I'd like to hear what you think of it.

I just go my copy yesterday. As soon as I remove Win XP and install Win 2000 to my PC, I will check it out and post my thoughts.

(I have a MIDIMAN BiPort 2X4 that is not supported by XP)

you get a $50 discount for helping to work all the kinks out of the release.

i'd rather wait a tad and pony up the extra $50 for a system that works.

btw, i bought the m-audio audio duo (usb recorder for my laptop) as soon as it came out, and the driver has issues... i broke the rule, and i've suffered for it.

Crosstudio,

I'd agree with you if this was Sonar 1.0. In fact, I stuck it out with PA9 until Sonar 2.0 came out just to make sure they have the kinks worked out. Given this is just a tweaking of Sonar 1.0, I think it is pretty safe to get it now.
