Hi all,
I searched the site and found info on how to upgrade my HD in my Masterlink.I attempted to upgrade because my original HD I thought was giving trouble because of "HDCD reset" messages and the inability to burn CDs. I first put in a Seagate (7200) 40 gig internal HD and I got "HDCD to reset HD error 178" message. I then put the jumper on the HD as per instructions and got the same message. I then returned the drive to CompUSA and purchased a Saegate (5400) 20 gig HD. I installed it and I still got the same "HDCD to reset HD error 178" message. I have put the old drive back in and I am able to move tracks and burn a one song CD but then it became unable to burn CD's again. Is it time for the shop...
Any suggestions?
