Upgrade from X5D?

I'm looking at bettering my X5D, to hook up to my PC for home recording.

I'm not looking for anything that simply repeats what I can do on PC - I'm really just looking for an improved soundbank.

I really love using the orchestral sounds - the X5D has nice strings - but I'd really like to find a new synth that can do even better on strings and orchestral sounds.

Any suggestions much appreciated.
