So I was attempting to update my ION, I'm fairly new to MIDI and was just trying to find a way to transfer .syx files to the ION for its new OS & user banks. The original program I was using was named MIDI OX, and it failed halfway through the transfer causing the data on the ION to go corrupted. Now I'm trying to transfer the syx files with a program named Send SX, and it appears to send the OS files, but says "failed" when I try send userbanks or anything else on the ION. So, Currently, my ION is a paperweight, and I'm wondering if anyone could possibly tell me what I"m doing wrong here. Is there any other .syx programs I could try out ?? I'm very anxious to get this working, so any help would be very appreciated, thanks alot !

Oh also, I'm connecting my ION to the Laptop with an Edirol UM-1ex USB MIDI interface, before i corrupted the data on the ion, it was working perfectly in Ableton.

I just updated my Ion and had it fail about 4 times in a row and give a message saying corrupt data or something like that. It happens when the SysEx file doesn't transfer completely or fails, and when it happens there's no way to use your Ion until you get the software to transfer successfully. I tried slowing down the data transfer rate like a lot of people on other forums recommend. It didn't work, so I powered everything down and tried again a few hours later. It worked at full-speed transfer the first try on that attempt. So maybe try a slower data transfer, but also, just persevere and stay patient. I used SysEx Librarian. Good luck.

Sadly, he was clearly in panic mode, joined a forum, posted one help item - the probably got it to work, and never, ever came back.
