unwanted pitch shift

Ok, here is the situation. When I record a guitar track on my XT-20 the recorded part is a different pitch than what I originally played. When I play a live guitar with the track I just recorded the two are slightly out of tune. When I record a second guitar track and play them back they are not out of tune... so it has t to be something that is happening with the adat.

Sounds to me like a sample rate difference. Like recording one pass at 44.1 and another at 48. That would do it.
