Hi.
i'm new here, and am probably about to ask a question that you have probably answered before. I apologize in advance!

Recently I recorded something on the mini-disc but, alas, forgot to "save" the information before I popped the disc out. I think it may still be on the disc. . .is there anyway to retrieve the data at this point, or is it just hopeless?

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. I would really like that data!

If you are talking about an MD8, by Yamaha, there is no save function. But, there is a TOC function. [table of contents] And, this is operated via the STOP button.

It is possible to miscue somehow and lose the table of contents but it doesn't happen often.

So, I don't know what type of minidisc unit your are talking about; if you have a save button, it's new to me.

Hi!
I have a Sony MD. I'm supposed to hit the "charge" button to write a "table of Contents" (or something like that). I didn't do it. So when I try to play it, there's nothing there. Any advice? Is my problem at least clear now?

Yo Whoozie:]

I think we are talking about the same thing.

If you record some stuff, you have to hit a button to "save" it into the table of contents.

The Sony box you have must work about the same way my Yamaha MD8 works.

However, I'm sure you can get on the Sony site and ask a techie about your particular problem. But, before you do that, look over your manual and maybe you will find the answer there.

I have a new Yam 2816 and I've read the THICK manual about 4 times and am still reading it again. Boy, those guys sure need some English Composition. [Maybe Sony too?]

Keep looking and you'll get the right answer.
