Unofficial Fostex FD4/FD8 website

I"m about to build an Unofficial Fostex FD4/FD8 website. If you have anything you would like to see on such a site, please let me know. So far, the main points will be on performing operations such as dumping tracks from the FD4/8 to the PC, installing an internal HD, updating the system OS, Syncing to a PC, Recording 8 tracks at once (fd8), transfering FDS-3 files from the scsi media to the PC.

A lot of the info will be pertanant to most of the other HD recorders from Fostex as well.

I would be interested in a forum like this. I have a fd-8 and having trouble getting tracks 1-8, 9-16, and 17-24 synced when putting to a pc.

I have several Fostex products,... no,... I have many Fostex products, with the FD-4 being my newest acquisition.

The rest of my Fostexes are reel-to-reels, and a couple mixers and effects. Although I think overall that Tascams are higer quality and better built that Fostexes, I still like Fostex and own several.

The majority of my stuff is Tascam, by far, but thanx for bringing this resource to us, on the web, and good luck. I'll visit your site when it's ready.;)
 
I am interested in your new soon to be website, and will also come visit. Thanks for doing it, sharing info and know how is SO cool!
