I'm about to install Sonar, but I've noticed some people having problems with it.
I'm using Win98.
Delta 66 Soundcard from the Omni Studio.
Pro Audio 9 is on my system also.

In the user manual, it says to place Sonar in it's own folder.
No problem there...
Evidently Sonar and PA9 can be on the same machine. But it seems problems crop up as posted on this board and from what I've heard from people who live around me.

Would it be wise to uninstall PA9 and removing everything even the Registry entries before installing Sonar?
Why are people installing both on their machines?
Isn't Sonar suppose to replace PA9?

I know these sound like dorkie questions, but they ain't to me.
If Sonar can replace PA9, I'd like to uninstall PA9 and put it on one of my other machines as a backup or something.

Can anyone advise?
Thanks.

tech support

I would REALLY suggest you contact cakewalk tech support...they are experts and will walk you through (by email) if necessary. I had some problems with the Sonar demo messing up the efx on PA 9 so be careful. I have also heard many conflicting reports about whether the two can reside on the same machine.

Thanks Kennedy.
I'll do just that.
I'll also post what took place.
