That's my mental state right now.

Been trying to force myself to write... and just can't do it. It's not writers block, cuz I can always write something and put a dope flow on it... but, I can't seem to write anything inspired, or driven.

It's like I'm bored with it, or something. :(

I need a challenge.
 
Wat ya need to do...

Is listen to that Nas cd, OMG hip hop in its dopest form. This man kept it so hip hop that wen i first heard it i was like its ok, then wen i listened to it (i mean really listen to it) i was like this is the ish man!!! like i was sayin it sounds like you need some good ol' hip hop in your life
 
I been listening to the new NAS for 4 days now... I think it's a 5-mic effort, truly dope.

Yet in still...

You just needa get your.... Mind Set... lol. I feel like that sometime. What inspires me is.... the music on the radio... If you even can call it music... Why? cause much of it is full of untalented individuals who have no drive, or ambition to do good music, or have anything real to say other than diamonds and ass clappings. That makes me angry about how the industry is, in today's market, and they need a little dose of that realness again... Or go listen to other independent artists... It gives me the drive because I see other people making music. I'll sit there and listen to my own stuff sometimes.. And be like hey, I made that. I'm listening to myself... things like that makes you feel good you know? Maybe you just need a break, maybe you just need to go hit the studio up, and get some inspiration there. Maybe one of us will post something that will inspire you to keep striving forward. Whatever it is homie, you got some great inspiration music, and maybe listening to your own tracks right now vs some of that b/s on the radio, will give you the little push to write something that will change the world's view of hip hop & the streets. I get like that sometimes, I'll just start writing about something that to me is meaningless, and then I'll kick back and write something that's str8 from well.. me... keep ya head up son
 
drive around your city/town and just look at life...

it will give you inspiration to do something serious..(atleast thats what i tell people)

What inspires/motivates me is when my boys are motivated and wanna do some tracks.

I feel you, I've been in the same state for the past 5 months or so. I'm starting to lose interest in hip-hop in general. Don't get me wrong, I love hip-hop music but it leaves so much more to be desired. I keep telling myself "If only I could sing..." LOL...

I'd say treat it like writers block Change and don't fight it, let it come to you. Maybe you just need "that track" to motivate you... who knows but good luck.
 
i been kinda feelin the same way about makin beats lately so uh we should collab and make absolutely nothing lol
 
Man sometimes you just have to take a short hiatus. I'm doing that as we speak....that and getting a few things in order. Meanwhile, I switched to other aspects of what I do. I haven't made a beat in around 6 - 8 months but I been writing a lot more. Actually I wrote about 3/4 of an album now.

Sometimes you just gotta look around you and grasp what's there.
