under $500 Joemeek stuff which is the best

Just heard the Joemeek VC6Q and liked it a lot on bass. Of the under $500 Joemeek stuff which is the best. Does it all sound like the VC6Q? Looking for direct in for bass, cheap. I like the sound I get from going direct into my RNP but when I’m tracking drums and bass the RNP is taken up with bass and snare. New to meek, would love advice...

I have an SC 2.2 which I like on things from time to time. It has such a distinctive flavor that I'm still not sure exactly when it will work or not. Kind of hard to describe. But I've liked it on bass pretty well so far.
 
Is the C2 the mono version?

This product line naming is very confusing... for me...

That is correct.
I'd also keep an eye out for the new line which should be dropping soon. And just to make it less confusing:

Old version -SC2/ New version-MC2
Old version-VC6Q/ New version-SixQ
 
I think he's looking for a preamp.

The Meek line:
VC3Q/ThreeQ = good
VC6Q/SixQ = better
VC1Q/OneQ = best
