troubleshooting for days...

Ultimate DAW: Radar 24 with s-Nyquist I/O.

This is a DAW, running BeOS, but idiotproof configured and sounds like the best.
Add a meterbridge, session controller, 24 top-pre's and a mixing table with moving faders and I'm in.

(add a medium PC with digital I/O for editing and plugs and you'll have a flying setup for less the price of a ProTools HD rig)

He did say ultimate. How about dual 3Ghz Xeons, and a 0+1 4x73GB 15k RPM SCSI? Overkill? Probably. A machine to drool over? Definitely.

I was thinking more along the lines of an ultimate DAW I might actually be able to own.

Sure, you can go nuts with stuff, but I wasn't thinking along those lines.

I was thinking more along the lines of an ultimate DAW I might actually be able to own....if I won the lottery.

i have a dual 3gig xeon server i was gonna use as my new daw.. i just need to get a new soundcard b/c the delta 1010 doesn't fit in it.. i was gonna get the rme multiface to use with that machine.

the new amd optron(spelling) 2 of those would be very nice in a daw too.. dsp power for days..
