so im trying to burn a simple 2 track song, i bounced the tracks to 7 and 8, but there still are tracks 1 and 2 left on, anyways i did all the right thing to burn a cd ( i even made one of a song i uploaded and worked fine) and then i goto the process, and i finally click it, and it says " VOID OUT!!"!

what did i do wrong?

Delete tracks 1 and 2... They are bounced down to 7/8, so you don't need them anymore. Read the manual again, and make sure that you didn't miss a step.
And search on here for a thread asking the same thing. Someone posted a step by step on how to burn a CD. If I remember, you have the VF160EX, right?

Nevermind, I read your other post... It's the VF80....
Sorry I can't help much, but if you follow my weak advice, you should be able to figure it out....

From memory, you are leaving a step out... From the bouncedown 7/8 you now make a MASTER, from which the VF80 makes a whole new program entitled "MST....." Don't worry about tracks 1,2, when making the Master, the VF80 will ignore them.

Keep the program you bounced down active. In other words, don't switch to another program. I believe there's a MASTER button on the machine thats starts the ball rolling from that program. It will give you effects options for a the Master. I usually turn the effects off at this stage. Did you do pans and add reverb BEFORE doing the bounce to 7/8. If not, you'll have a dry, mono resuly, but you'll get your feet wet anyway...

yea i went to the mastering mode, but there was no way i could like get out of it but i still mastered it a little bit, i was just trying to get a crappy song on a cd just to try it out, but it didnt work, but i tried to copy just a mono cd out of one track not mastered and it worked fine. but ill try again when i get home, im not to the point of frusteration yet which is good.

Keep at it, you'll get it. It's not rocket science (funny a guy with my user name would mention that?). It takes time, like I said. There is a way to get all your tracks mastered. I think you have to go into mastering mode and actually select all the tracks you are going to burn and do it that way. Did you try the search function on here and look for that? Type in VF80 and see what you get...

Go back to the original program. Bouncedown to 7/8. (You can keep doing bouncedowns till you are happy. After getting a bouncedown you like, go immediately to Master. Then Master it by hitting Record/Play. Hit Stop at the end. In a second the VF80 takes that and creates a NEW program that starts with the letters "MST..." MST programs are the ONLY ones you can make a music CD out of (CD-DA). So when you go to burn, you have to scroll to one of the MST programs, hit ENTER/YES. Then hit RECORD + ENTER/YES. The burn commences...
