Lynx users (anybody)...
Getting ready to record my second album; & SONAR & Lynx don't seem to want to play nice together anymore. Doesn't matter if I'm running v2XL or SONAR5...it's dropping out...really quickly...in some cases with only four (4) 16-Bit audio tracks running !!! (Something definitely amiss, here...eh?)
I go over to WaveLab...open the same 4 tracks in a Montage; & they sound like gangbusters. I don't get it. I'll be posting this problem over in the Lynx forum...but I'm wondering if it's a SONAR problem...maybe something recent I haven't heard about. (&...it seems like it would be, since WaveLab is working fine w/ the same drivers.)
Anyway, my rig is the Lynx Aurora8 w/ the AES16. In SONAR...in Audio Options...my Playback device is ASIO LynxTWO/L22 Lynx AES16 Play 1. SONAR's File System I/O Buffer Size is 256KB; & the ASIO Panel's Buffer is 1024.
Weird thing is...the WDM's work (without dropping out)...but the sound is distorted.
Need help bad...SONAR is my tracking/editing program; & I only use WaveLab for mastering. I needs it (SONAR, that is.)
Thanks,
mark4man

UPDATE:
OK...I have new info:
1) SONAR seems to be recording properly; & also playing MIDI tracks properly. I assigned a project's worth of MIDI tracks to XP's stupid wavetable synth; & they sound fine (meaning that the Lynx output drivers are functioning OK as being fed by the onboard synth, right?) I also recorded the audio output from my Yamaha Motif ES Rack module...& that functioned & sounded fine as well.
2) When I switched back to ASIO from WDM, a warning window popped up indicating that my sound card does not support stereo; & has been reset to mono as a result. [That one's really weird.]
My Lynx Mixer version is 2, build 013l.
Still need resolution...will be appreciative of same.
Thanks,
mark4man
