A long time ago I would experiment with sketches and some attempts to put a new look on the guitar. An experienced guitar maker I knew who I showed them to looked at them and was never critical. All he said was..

"Yeh cool, you gotta get those things out of your system before you can make decent looking guitars" He was right. I Think we have a case of that here.

One of my favorite guitars is my DeArmond Jet Star Sp.

It's a knockoff of a Guild Thunderbird.

It's pretty ugly, but it was only $85 brand new and it plays really nice. Pickups actually aren't bad either.

Damn. That thing looks like it's inspired by H.R. Giger. Looks like some alien pod creature would reach out and grab your nads if you had the nerve to strap the thing on.

I don't know why, but I kind of like that one. I think it's because you could use it as a very heavy, expensive arrow if you had to.
