Hi there

I have a UAD-1 SP, and it works fine and sounds great...but I have just found out that when I freeze a track (in Cubase SX3) with the UAD-1 plug ins on it, during the playback of the track I get a crackle ...like a CPU crackle... not on all the tracks...just some of them ..somtimes more than others...ODD!

also when I try to process an effect on a track my CPU just cracks up when I try to preview it making it impossible for me to process UAD-1 effects...Although it works fine on third party and host plugins..

at the moment I have about 12 UAD-1 plugs making a full up UAD-1 card and 6 CPU plugins and my PC is cracking ....I thought once the UAD-1 was full up...I still got all my CPU space to use up ...my CPU can handle allot more that 6 plugins!

is there something wrong...a bug maybe?

Universal Audio has released a new driver in the last month. Have you tried updating to it yet ?

Dave

i did the other day...not sure if i got the firmwire yet as mine still says 1.0

cheers for the help anyways

Then maybe that is the issue ?

I wonder if you could revert back to the previous driver ?

Oh well it was worth a shot.

Good Luck !

mmm buffer sise was5 ...changed it to 20 and it seems to have sorted it....:)

Switch to the generic "ASIO Multimedia Driver" during mixing and mixdown.

I don't know why, but it works almost every time.
