Any if you guys know why my Universal Audio 4-710d is popping (crackling) softly?

I've been using it for a while and not sure if it's something that has been happening and I've never noticed it, but it's suddenly happening.

I know that it has clipping protection, but can clip. I don't think I'm running anything too loud, but I could be wrong.

Just for a reference, I'm going into UA into Focusrite Scarlet 18i20 (which is completely clear if I bypass UA). I'm running through ADAT cable. Haven't tried analog connectors since I noticed this problem, so I'll try that.

Recording a lot soon, so it'd be nice to solve. Thoughts? Suggestions?

First guess would be clock settings.
If it doesn't happen over analog connections then that's most likely the problem.

I don't know anything about those particular devices, but I guess you need to set clock source as adat in your interface settings.

Thanks Steenamaroo...

I'm pretty sure I have it set up right. Everything appears locked and in sync.

I'm just getting little clicks every now and then on both microphones and the bass that we've gone in off of a cab. We got clicks on vocals as well as mic-ing acoustic guitars. They're subtle, but they're bad enough that we can't use these tracks.

I've tried turning things down drastically and in all cases, the gain is not more than 5. The Level is in varying places, but none are over 8.

My "Limit 1-8" switch is enabled.

Something is going wrong and it's not my Focusrite as that seems to give clear tone when the UA - 4-710d is bypassed.

What sample rate are you working at?

Should be the same as W/C.
