This may be a long shot, but has anyone here got, or is willing to take some pcitures of the internals of their U87ai? I'm after close ups of both the DC converter board and the audio board.
I'm currently building a DIY version - I have the schematic and have sourced most parts (or equivalents). I've just bought a cheap chinese LDC which I plan to gut entirely for the case, which appears to be based on the dimensions of the U87.
I've designed my own PCBs, but I'd like to see how Neumann laid there's out. You wont be able to see the trace side of the boads, without completely taking it apart. (The two boards are laid back to back) This doesn't matter - a picture of the component sides of both boards could be obtained simply be removing the out metal case (without having to actually unscrew the boards from their internal mounting. The component side has all the component numbers marked - enough to give me an idea of how each board is laid out and exactly what type of caps, resistors etc are used in the build.
thanks
