All right. Messed around with the spoken word portion quite a bit, and here is what I think sounds the best. Also used some volume automation on the banjo in a couple of places where it kind of fades in and out. Overall, I think I like the changes you guys have recommended. Would you agree? Any more thoughts? Here's the latest clip.

i think the verse chorus transition flows better. although it still doesn't flow as smoothly as i think it should. or maybe it's because i've heard the changes you've made and i'm more aware of it.?

i don't know... but like i said before it sounds great. maybe someone who hasn't been around for the changes can comment on it and give you a fresh view of how the song sounds.

Sounds good to me, Zero!
I like the phone tone on the verse and the chorus is still as catchy as ever! Whispered part has the right level now. Beautiful song!

Joey, Thanks for the feedback. Appreciated

Cool banjo lines.
The effected vocal reminds me of 88 lines about 44 women in its metre and sound.
This is really good but I don't know if the patter verse should stay as is or would make the whole thing more cohesive and sound better id sung.
The backing track is excellent. The sung vox are lovely.
the whispering in ears thing is very effective too!
the melody from the sung section really deserves a reprise toward the end.
Very good stuff!

Very pleasant on the ears, nice job.
Thanks Detroit for the kind comments.

Never heard the song "88 lines..." but I'm going to try to look it up. We've been contemplating re-recording the spoken word part. Agree that singing it may be more cohesive, but it's a lot of words to get in a melody line. Reprise is an excellent idea. Thanks for your thoughtful comments.
