Two Quick Questions

So, I am using Vegas Audio 2.0g and the Ultrafunk plug-ins. My questions are:

1. Do I EQ the individual tracks for each song inside Vegas or do I render the song to a wave file and then EQ the whole song in Sound Forge.

2. After I process it in Sound Forge do I then dither the song to 16 bit 44.1Khz before burning it to CD?

1 - Both...during mixing, EQ each track individually until you get the sound of mix you want.....give your ears a rest until the next day and check your mix and make corrections.....when its where you want, mix down to stereo.....give yourself another day or so and then playback the mi...make any EQ adjustments, level correction, compression/limiting that you have to.....

2 - Yes...make dither your last step b4 burning.....

Thank you! That's a good point about giving the ol' ears a break.

I should have also specified that this is piano only. Under that circumstance would the same guidlines apply?
