We got a lot done this weekend. Out of a 140 foot perimeter, I have only 12 feet of exterior wall left to do.
Then its on to the trusses.

Mike-

whats your stud spacing- looks close- 12 centers?
No, it's staggered stud: 2x4's on a 2x6 plate.
The spacing on the outside is 16" and on the inside; 16".
So it ends up looking like 8", but it's not really.

Hey, Mike

That looks great!!. Can you show us the floor plan again? You don't have to answer this if it's a bit personal, but about how much of the whole construction will cost you? except the land, I mean.

That doesn't look very acoustically sound to me.
:p

Great RT60 though!!

Here's the floor plan:

So, in the second picture, you'd be standing at the "MECH" room, (you can see the stub-ups for the bathroom) and the first picture is the exact opposite corner from there.

The cost is somewhere around $40 - $45 per square foot, but that's because I'm the general contractor, and I sub-out the Foundation, Mech, Plumbing and Electrical.
Framing and drywall I'm doing myself, I just pick up laborers as I need them.
That doesn't include any equipment, audio wiring, control room acoustics or lava lamps. :p

Total cost, for the building and deco, is probably around $60K.

Thanks Shep. I checked out your place on John's site. Looks like things are comming along well for you too.

See those nice, clear, blue skies in the pictures? It was 80 degrees Sat. and Sun.
Right now, (Monday night) there's 2" of snow/ice in my driveway!
Ya gotta love Central Texas winters. ;)
