Friends over this weekend.
One (the vocalist) had written two new songs.
Still having to live with drum loops (need a drummer).
Is there a good way to adjust tempo as song goes along with loops?
Also, can't seem to find fills that really work...
My set up.
Presonus Audiobox and Studio 1 software.
Vocal mike is MXL V67
Taylor guitar direct to box.
Bass is played on midi keyboard.
So are strings.

Thanks for comments.

I listened to the first song. The only thing I can suggest on the tempo is to practice. There are a couple of sloppy spots. Playing to a click or drum loop just takes a bit of practice to get used to.

I thought the singer had a nice voice. But there are a couple of notes here and there where the pitch isn't spot on. Just watch for that. Words at the end of phrases tend to get lost. I'd watch out for mic technique on that.

If it were me, I'd mic the guitar instead of going direct. Especially if you have a Taylor. :)

dude just a shot in the dark here but.. it's really not necessary to add any extra accent to ur voice or accentuate any vowels differently than u would in real life when speaking normally. if i'm wrong, forgive me.

Thanks for the input.
I am finding drum loops to be pretty restrictive for people used to live preformance.
I am finding too that a vocalist's "quirks" are much more noticable recorded than live.
Still a noob with a lot to learn.
Thanks again.
