reek brock i dunno if this input will help or not i dont make beats but sounds sorta empty..lacking a "soul" to the beat, from a rappers perspective. have you tried sampling ? should try it could be the "umph" you need to up the ante in your beats. they sound good but like i said lacking "soul" like middle kinda feeling to it..thats just me though. just my 2 cents..

I understand where you are coming from.If you are used to that style then thats what you want to hear. I don't like to sample that much .I have but I really don't post them.If some one with some talent was rappping over them that might be exactly what it needs some rappers need a beat thats a lil bare to bring of their talent.Some beats are over whelming and thats all the listener wants to hear.My beats wont compete with the MC.Its that way by design.

nah i know where you standin at fam, and if that is your style then you just need to improve on your, melodies, or somthin like that, haha i told you i dont make beats like the beat i rapped over was a bare beat like get really good melodies that make your head nod and shit and then you'll be in buisiness !
edit: i think what i meant earler and just found out, im in love with the talib kweli, mos def, common, kanye west, slum village, chicago type and new york style beats, where its smooth and sounds good wheter you rap good or not, and your style sounds southern, atl, r&bish a lil...no offense

no prob.I Love Tribe and that era the most.Hate it when I hear some thing I wanted to sample being rapped on by somebody thats garbage.Guess my beats are dumbed down lol.

I know what you mean man. If you don't prefer to use samples, like me, I listen to dre, & some other non-sample producers.

I don't prefer to use samples either, but I will on request. Usually more trouble than it's worth (especially with trying to clear them).
