Okay all, here's two recent offerings I'm interested in getting some feedback on:

I did both of these about 4 months ago before I got a keyboard, so all the notes are drawn in on Reason (except guitars & vocals & overdubs). I was thinking of doing some keyboard overdubs, but I'm curious whether they need them or not. I think the second one (Wearing Green) needs a bass or something to fill out the bottom a bit. The first one is a bit long, any suggestions on where to fade it out? Thanks.

p.s. - not for the serious of heart.

LMAO! I love it! Its so great! I don't listen to this type of music much but I think its great! Better than Daft Punk IMO.

wow, thanks, glad you dug it. Daft Punk is one of my favorite guilty pleasures so that means a lot. do you think the track had enough low end? it's pretty much the only track i've ever attempted to Master, i used a Basement Jaxx song and that one Robbie Williams song (i don't wanna rock... DJ...) as a reference while i was mastering it.

Shit, Mastering is hard...

this is a BUMP

up, up, up we go! someone please gimme a listen if you got a few minutes & let me know what you think! thanks...

Matt

I don't really listen to this genre, but it sounds right to me! :D

I can't get the 2nd link to work. I listened to the 1st song yesterday, and am replaying it now. It sounds pretty tight to me. Nice mix. Good bass. Well done.

And (from your post in another forum), I think it is safe to say that most people I've met over 30 don't get dance music. Hell, I'm not 30 yet and I don't really get it either. I like the groove aspect of it (I'll attempt to shake my fat ass anyday), but am confused as to the whole "art" of creating beats and stuff. I still prefer organic instruments played by musicians and lyrics that convey some emotion. That's just me though.

Groove on!

there, the 2nd link should work now. thanks for checking it out.

as to organic instruments played by musicians & lyrics that convey emotion; i guess that's why i've been hesitant to release my stuff. i have good beats & know how to mix things decently, but all my lyrics (whenever i have any) are either sarcastic or weird or silly. i guess there's a market for that, albeit a small one. check out the 2nd link, it's much less dancey and a bit stranger. needs a bass or something... can't quite figure out what...
